Flat Stanley made a music video while he stayed with us. He loves the music of Simon and Garfunkel. Turn up your speakers and enjoy!

Easter Sunday!
Last night, Stanley fell asleep in the candy dish instead of in the doll bed where he usually sleeps. So this morning, Stanley had a crick in his neck.
Stanley loved the Easter service. There were trumpets and horns and about a hundred people in the choir.
Before the egg hunt after church, Stanley got to meet our cat Sophie.

Then Stanley helped find Easter eggs.

We made sure that Stanley didn’t eat too much candy and got to bed on time.

Good Friday
Last night, Stanley got to attend the Maundy Thursday service at our church. It scared him a little when they turned off the lights. He was very surprised when the choir director started singing in the dark, but he liked it.
Today, Stanley came with us to the Good Friday service. Stanley saw the huge stained glass windows at our church for the first time with sunshine shining through them.

At home, we decorated eggs for Easter.

It was a lot of fun.

In Auburntown

Today we took Stanley to Kennedy Creek. Naomi let Stanley use her shoe as a boat. He used his body as a sail to float along like a sailboat.
Next we drove into Auburntown and showed Stanley around the park. Stanley was very excited to see one of the horses there. The horse came up close to the fence to say, "Hi!"

Flat Stanley arrives!
The day we met Stanley, we were going from our house in Auburntown into Murfreesboro to run errands. We opened a letter from our cousin Gracie as we were leaving, and out popped Flat Stanley! Stanley was very excited to be out of the envelope. He jumped around the car and looked out all the windows at the farms with cows and horses. Eventually we got him calmed down and buckled in. "It doesn’t matter how flat you are," we told Stanley, "you still have to wear your seat belt in the car."

We stopped at the Murfreesboro Library garden with Stanley. It was a beautiful, sunny day. We found some large flat people in the garden and Stanley insisted on going up to talk to them.

We met our dad at one of our favorite restaurants and introduced him to Stanley. Stanley didn’t eat much, but he did seem fond of the desserts. It was late when we got back home, but we watched a little of our favorite TV show before we went to bed. Naomi let Stanley sleep on her doll bed so he could get a good night’s rest before our next adventure.
